welcome christmas wreath – bye autumn wreath

Today’s seasonal decor bit is the Christmas wreath. It was time to take down the fall wreath and put up a new one. I have time nice garland one with berries and pinecones, but the girls insisted on getting this wooden one with Christmas trees.

Since it was only $2.50 in Target we got it, but I suspect it’s going to come down soon and be placed in one of the kids rooms….simply because the wind keeps banging it against the door rather noisily when the wind picks up in the evenings. I will try first sticking some felt tabs on the back, but I am not sure if it solves the problem. Anyway, I think it is more a kiddy style piece and would serve better in their “cute” little environment.
