trimming the bling tree
With white lights and coordinated decor the third and last of our trees looks like a sweet, snow-covered arctic tree. But with multi-coloured lights and shiny, sparkly decor it can turn into a psychedelic experience. The very first of our trees has been given to kids ever since we got a more-real looking 6-foot long (1.8m) pine.
And kids love colour, therefore this tree is filled with silver, fuchsia, turquoise decor, plus some white angels, Winnie the Poohs and multi-coloured presents. Anything goes if it’s cute or sparkles a lot! So the lights went up last night, and kids have been decorating the tree this morning – they were so excited that we actually forgot to open the advent calendar (aka peek into today’s hanging bucket) before leaving for school!
A colourful mix of decorations for kids – this tree is a huge contrast to the downstairs one with red and gold decorations only
Snowflakes and beaded hearts
Even some angels have made it to this tree
Multi-coloured presents were a gift that arrived last year from England
Psychedelic so-Las Vegas-looking tree at night with its lights. The daytime transformation is very different – softer and sweeter…
