spotted: a dream house in need of total refurb

I’ve been looking for houses (which I always do no matter where I am) and came across with this “jewel”. An old, beautiful period home with over 11 000 sq ft (1000 m2) with a couple of acres of grounds (also run down). So what’s the catch? This has been a care home and then empty for some time, meaning that it really is a cold shell and it’s going to take tons of money and effort to bring it up to date again.

And it is a tad too big too for a standard family – currently ours is squeezed into a house that could probably fit in the living room of this house. And then imagine heating this house when it’s snowing…I guess this house goes to the category “one can only dream” – but oh, what a beautiful dream it could have been!
