rustic wood and large islands
Kitchen island is certainly on my wish-list, and the bigger the better. I think that kitchen is the most popular room (at least in our family) and there just needs to be plenty of prep and storage space. No matter what I do half of the kitchen counters are always covered by little stuff – something that we don’t seem to need, but if I throw this stuff away then the need naturally rises the next day…
I have this cute little turquoise basket for stuff, but it is already full. In the second house of A. I used to have a full, wide drawer for that stuff and when we moved here, the whole drawer came in a plastic bag – and is still waiting for my sorting in a kitchen cupboard. So my kitchen needs space in terms of drawers and counter-tops for storing all the “stuff” we accumulate.
Anyway, this is a cute, traditional country kitchen and the wooden ceiling beams are just impressively massive and rustic, not to talk about slate floor and wall.
