Long rides along the highways can sometimes get boring, but I must say that our ride from Madrid to coastal area of Valencia was a pretty nice one. I was surprised to see the number of these giant windmills popping all over the place – Spain actually is rather green when it comes to producing energy the more natural way using sun, wind and water.

We took some smaller roads too just for the sake of passing through little old villages and spotting castles and fortresses and this was one of the most entertaining longer rides that I have ever had! Definitely recommended if in Spain as driving there is normally quite a scenic experience.
