quintessentially english: the princess and the frock in review

Miss A Princess Frock
Winter Blossom dress from The Princess and The Frock

I’ve done product reviews before but this children’s clothing review for The Princess and the Frock is definitely the most fun we’ve ever had – pretty frocks to wear for the season’s festivities and for creating our annual Christmas cards. Oh we are going to have a fabulous photo book with all the matching colours in dresses and accessories!

Miss A. above got to review this hand-made gorgeous green and red Winter Blossom dress. I loved the soft green fabric with red Japanese-style branches and birds motives – all so beautifully finished, included the red and white polka dot lining. Such a pretty, classic look.

Miss A. loved the dress and was happy to try out different combinations – just a change of tights, cardigan and accessories and the tone changes completely. This dress has made its way to many festive events already, and since it’s not too thick and doesn’t have Christmas-specific pattern she can wear during other seasons too – summer included as the dress is sleeveless.

The same goes pretty much for Miss C’s Blossom in the Snow dress – despite being of different pattern and colour it matched perfect with the other dress due to the similar theme of trees and red birds. For the Christmas cards the girls had same red shoes, cardigans and accessories from Monsoon and the end result was so lovely.

This dress also has a red and white polka dot lining and is sleeveless, so Miss C. can wear for different occasions throughout the year – I always think that as a must have -feature: if you pay for a good quality clothing you want to be able to wear for more than just one season to get money’s worth.

Happy kids ready for a Christmas card photo shoot

Ready, steady – pose. Here my two Blossoms have gotten the company of Prince Charming. This lovely vest is made of Liberty print and was designed in honour of young Prince George, such a cute and unique little piece that transformed Master H. into a little gentlemen!

The newest collection coming out soon is the Fairytale Collection. Here Miss C. is wearing a lovely green and yellow dress inspired by the Frog Princess. I love the cute details of the layered cut, the fabric flower details and ruffled sleeves.

Miss C. loves to dress up as a princess, but those dresses end up tearing and wearing out so quick, so I like the idea of having a princess dress made out of real fabrics. This prince and princess were ready to go to a princess party and looked just smashing!

All in all, we all loved the look and feel of these dresses down to every little detail. The girls dresses retail at £49 each, Prince Charming vest is £89, and the new princess dresses will be priced at £35 – definitely worth the money I say!

Disclosure. I received the dresses we reviewed, however, as always all opinions are my own.
