little afternoon rye bread snack ideas

I have been lucky to get some authentic dark rye bread straight from Finland, and here’s my take on a super yummy afternoon snack: dark rye bread, olive spread, real Swiss cheese and juicy tomatoes with a dash of salt. From my experience I can tell that almost anything tastes great with this bread: ham, smoked salmon, boiled eggs and mayo…but currently with braces I unfortunately have to settle with soft and easy-to-eat items.

I feel very lucky to have met so many great people lately here in CaliforniA, and one of them is organising a session this week to teach others how to make authentic rye bread. I am looking forward to learning that skill!
