inspired by hotel elysian in chicago

I am heading soon to Chicago and that’s where my daily inspiration comes from today – the luxurious and delectable Hotel Elysian. I love the look of the place – so chic, yet calming at the same time. The decor is modern, but not too much and the colours scheme is of cream, grey and warm browns giving a relaxed and sophisticated feel – just what one needs one a little trip without kids!

The floor of this gorgeous lobby is intriguing, and I would love to have a pattered floor like this instead of a patterned rug (and floor heating for winter-time too), and it would be a great change to have stone floor instead of wood flooring. The pendant is also a winner in my book – this lobby certainly gives a great first impression, which continues throughout the hotel.
