getting ready to start the year of the dragon celebrations

We have put up some decor for the lunar new year – or better known as the Chinese new year. Tomorrow, the 23rd will be the start of the year of the dragon. We have some treats for the kids, and they will be singing parents in the morning the new year song Gong Xi Gong Xi. Then the kids are rewarded with red envelopes – and a dollar bill inside.

This is first time we’ll celebrate the lunar new year at home and it is exciting to be learning more about these festivities! So here are our decorations for the house entrance to start with…
