fab weekend diy crafting – friend/family tree, yarn letters and more

We are putting up some Halloween decor, but frankly as we are pretty new in US there isn’t much to use in the house. So I started looking for some craft inspirations. I found a lot, but along I found other fabulous ideas that I wanted to try too. So here’s this week’s top three fun picks that I want to try with kids – a friend/family tree, yarn letters and scrabble ornaments. I hope these fabulous pictures inspire someone else to try these too (and if you do please send me pictures of the outcome as I would love to see what you come up with!).

friend/family tree

How cute is this idea – create a fingerprint family tree or wedding party tree as a memento. I am definitely going to suggest this for miss A’s class creation for the fundraising auction!

Love yarn letters

My daughter loves doing this sort of yarn craft, so I am definitely going cut out some letter for this weekend to try out. Love this cute little idea. And since they letters are not heavy, they will be easy to hand on the wall, and won’t hurt if they fall should an earthquake strike us

Scrabble ornaments

Scrabble ornaments – never too early to start crafting for Christmas. I am thinking that this would also be a great birthday party crafitng activity for kids (with a little help), present for friends (every family members name and few generic greeting ones) or just organizing a little evening even with frends – some wine (mulled if it’s close to Xmas), cheese and other lovely treats while eveyrone makes some fun ornaments.
