day 1 progress report on the renovation

We did a long day in the flat, and it is starting to look good already (see this link to the starting point). Hard to believe what a good coat of paint can do.  There longest wall leading to the hallway became an orange accent wall and the other walls have a tint of yellowish cream (that is the base colour for the flat). We are just missing the new ceiling lamp and the sockets and this room is all set.

The skirting and the floors are now also in place in all rooms except the kitchen, where some units still need to come down. We will need to take a little break from the work though, as we are heading for a spa break in Estonia for a couple of days – I am very excited, as this is actually my first trip there ever to Estonia!

Workers need some tasty food to keep them going so we got Parma ham, rucola and cherry tomato pizzas from Koti Pizza. Apparently this chain has been voted the best in the world. True on not, the pizza were pretty good and the crust was nice thin (you can also have an additional serving of fiber in the crust, pretty cool idea I think).
