curious friday – bird spotting in spain

I just had to post this photo. Now I am no bird spotter and can barely recognize 10 different kinds of birds by name, but I am still pretty sure I have never seen a bird like this before.

It looks pretty cute and was not afraid of our car, so that sort of bravely certainly earns it a blog post of its own. Anyone out there who knows what this cutie is (spotted in Spain the coastal area of Valencia)?
