battle of the red paintings
Here’s a painting I spotted at a swanky $18.8 m house for sale in La Jolla California. I was thinking – red furniture – yes, red suede -hmmm, maybe not quite my thing. The painting – pretty cool. Wait a minute; I have one rather similar one.
So here are the two paintings. One possible cost a fortune and is complemented with red furniture, the other from (hopefully) upcoming artist in London some years ago for some hundreds. And I guess one could say that there was the matching red wall on the background.
Both rooms also have some complementing dark furniture. La Jolla house has yellowish walls – house of Anaïs used to have similar shade too, but I painted (myself, yes -imagine me hanging in a shaky ladder 15ft (5m) up in the air as I am afraid of heights!) most walls, bar the accent ones and the room of Anaïs, in a light shade called Rum Caramel. It is a lovely creamy tone which appears to change colour depending on whether natural or artificial light falls on it.
What do you think of the paintings?
