enchanting adriatic coast of slovenia

Have I told you that I like Slovenia? You might have figured it out if you’ve seen my IG feed, as I’ve been there more than five times since September and have had lots of lovely photos to post. Slovenia is one of those hidden gems in Europe where the people are friendly, prices haven’t caught up on the generally high European levels yet and there it lots of unspoiled nature to discover.

Slovenia is easy to access from its’ neighbouring countries Italy, Austria, Croatia and Hungary by car – and as it’s rather small once can drive from one end to the other in the matter of hours. There are rivers, mountains, valleys and Mediterranean coast to discover. A cuisine mixture of Italian, German and typically Eastern European food to enjoy, as well as numerous wineries to visit for tastings.

Our latest trip focused on the Adriatic coast area where the beautiful towns of Koper, Izola, Portorož and Piran are located – filled with lovely little cafes and restaurants, ports for sailing boats to moor on and things to do for everyone from beach volley and mini golf to kids fun parks. And the special attraction of the area, the Piran salt pans to visit – and there’s a day spa to visit also (no children under age of 12 admitted though). Enjoy my little captures of Slovenia and get all my Slovenian inspirations on my Findery Notemap.

Besides posting my recent Slovenia photos on Instagram I started working on a Notemap on Findery called Wonderful Slovenia, where I put together Slovenia photos, tips and places to stay at, and not just my own but nice places I discover from other users there too, so take a look if you are heading that way or looking for inspiration:
