white scandinavian interior inspirations

There are white interiors and there are white interiors – without trying to sound like an enigma I have seen lately a lot of white interiors (traditional Mediterranean) and looking forward to seeing soon more different kind of white interiors. The traditional Spanish white interiors come with rough surfaces, often with plenty of details carved in wood and a lot of rustic character. The soon to be seen Scandinavian interiors represent the smooth and “more is less” school with modern or retro 50s decor like in this eclectic home.

There is the dark chair my grandma used to have too, shiny birch parquet floors my parents have also and nice modern barstools I wish I had… Whereas the heat encourages the small windows and closing shutters at daytime in Spain, the larger the windows and the more light one can get in the Northern homes, the better it is… I am definitely looking forward to spotting more Scandinavian decor the coming days!
