what a difference…

…a good camera can make. Just look at this amazing sunrise at Mount Shasta, California. I am hoping a catch a glimpse of something similar, but even if I did, I would not be able to get a photo like this. I forgot the bring the good camera, and have just the little Canon snapper that is permanently attached to my handbag and what a difference there is!

Mount Shasta rises lonely from its surroundings to 14000+ ft (4300+m) and on a good day it can be seen 150 miles (240 km)away as the surrounding areas are so flat. we had one of those days and like the three kings followed the star, we were driving towards the amazing snow-capped peak in the 72F (22c) weather. And every now and then I’d snap a picture of this beauty, but the camera could not see the mountain from the light-coloured sky! I tried everything, but with no great outcome – now I know for real what camera filters are used for!

So this trip might need to rely more on memories more than my own pictures, and sadly even good memories tend to fade away if not revisited every now and then. But now is not the time to worry, rather we will seek some unforgettable memories together…
