visit to the hly house in hong kong

The HLY house in Hong Kong is a very interesting one. It is part of the portfolio of the award-winning modern architect James Law from his early days (and the only single-family home?) and it features a very unique ceiling and 19ft / 6 m tall atrium at the centre of the house – with custom painting made directly on the wall.

There is also a lot of built in display storage with lights fitted inside, and their positioning plays with unsymmetrical layout of various geometrical shapes. I also like how the lights are built into the ceiling and are half-hidden, although, I must admit that this ceiling reminds me of a beehive and I am expecting to see some giant bees flying around.
