traditional english-styled home in madrid

Classic creams. Florals. Patterns and little accessories. At first look a home very much like a classic English home. But the second looks helps one notice a little Spanish twist to it. And this actually is a home in Madrid decorated to imitate the classic English style. A mission well accomplished I would say!

There are some beautiful details here – I love especially how the curtains are hidden behind an integrated coving – a very clever addition there. Reminds me of the house of our friends in England where we just stayed – they have hidden lighting along the walls behind the coving also and it looks just amazing.  The one true giveaway of this home not being in England is the patio area – one probably would not be this daring as it rains a lot more in England – therefore the patio area would have to be more covered… But all in all a lovely house!
