the new year that rocked

The Chinese New Year (CNY) period has come to its end, and the year of the Dragon will continue. I think this has been the busiest couple of weeks we ever had with multiple events taking places especially on the weekends. Miss A. had her birthday party thrown in to the mix too together with the Spring Festival, New Year’s gala at the school, Kung Fu night, CNY party, kids party party traditional sweets, CNY party and lunches at work (and yes, there seems to be at least 10 dishes on every meal!).

The celebration is a learning process for us and this year we added some home decor, Chinese sweet treats and red envelopes on the list – and I even got a red envelope from my boss with crispy bills inside. Celebrations are so much fun, but two weeks instead of a day certainly can be tiring!
