strawberries and events – a mother’s weekend

Happy Mother’s Day! This weekend has been filled again with fun events and lots of fruit. We got again and box of strawberries and mangoes and have been having very berry desserts. On Friday it was fruit salad, yesterday ice cream creations, and this morning the lucky mommy got waffles with fruit as a Mother’s Day treat.

Add to the weekend a kids play, two dance events – one Chinese and one traditional, a dinner, tennis and CERT training and it has been one long celebration for this mother. I hope everyone else had a great, treat-filled weekend too!

After two weeks of intense training I am finally a CERT now (a member of community emergency response team) and it feels good to know what to do if some sort of emergency strikes in the area
