smoky blue mixed with old and new

I have enjoyed the amazingly blue sky of the mountains the past days and started thinking that maybe blue should be integrated more in our home decor as it certainly has a relaxing effect on me. So I went to search some blue inspiration and came across this cute bathroom. It’s clearly a Victorian bathroom with old herringbone wood floors, high glossy skirting and one of those deep, modern bathtubs.

I love the old iron railing peeping through the window, which makes me think this one of the cute old London townhouses. What I love most about this room is the fresh colour of the walls. It is not turquoise or the deep blue sky of the mountains – but the mix of the two and so fascinating and relaxing! Now this Smoky Blue shade from Sanderson has been moved to one of the top position on my ever-changing mood board – we will see if it will make to the actual decor at some point – if not on the wall at least in the accessories would be my guess…
