rustic garden inspirations

Looking at our tiny back garden I felt like I needed some inspiration and found this lovely rustic garden. But how to make a little, mostly concrete patio into such a lush, green heaven? Since we got no aged beams (or beams of any kids), rural mountain views, or even grass.

I think I should first start with a water feature of some sort since we got three water points in the garden to start with. The sound of water is one of the most relaxing ones, so that could be a lovely one. Maybe a little fountain or bird bath similar to the rustic basin pictures here…?
