ralph lauren’s living room as inspiration

The daily inspiration today comes in the form of this living room of designer Ralph Lauren. The built-in lacquered bookcase looks amazing and in general this mainly white-toned room is very light, airy and inviting.

There are great interesting details in the furnishing such as the sawhorse legs on the side table and the binoculars positioned by the window. The floor lamp looks very similar to the one I recently added in our reading corner – that nice 60-70s flexi-base design that used to grade almost every kids desk (at least in Finland). The dark blue carpet aside this room looks fabulous!
