old school transformation in london

This lovely building used to be the Lucie Clayton’s finishing school for girls. The Clayton House, located in South Kensington, London, was closed and sold for a private developer in 2004 for £2.5 m ($5 M). He then spent another £3 m ($6 M) to renovate the place into six luxury apartments, which now are on the market for £17.5 m ($28.4 M). Nice profit there I say!

The apartments are airy and have large rooms, and I love the finishing – what a sleek kitchen where you can easily hide those items that normally would be cluttering the countertops and that lovely, large kitchen island offering seating for so many people! Also the central London views form the windows and terraces are great. This private developer certainly has a good taste without getting carried away with too over the top solutions luxury houses often have.
