oh those french party sweets and treats!

January seems to be a true extension of December with birthday parties and other events piled up for every weekend. Oh how I like going to a party where the hostess is a master of cooking and baking, and pays a lot of attention to details and beautiful presentation.
This is one of those little kids birthday parties where there were lots of delicious and beautiful treats being served! Kids loved getting balloon creations instead of party bags, and the mom loved getting delicious BBQ pork and other fabulous food – not to mention all these amazing home-made desserts.
I am now thinking that someone please teach me some of these skills too – maybe I should enroll for a week to the culinary institute in Napa Valley to learn how to make French desserts (and learn to appreciate some good local wines also while already there)!
