love at first note with cirque du soleil’s totem

I have finally seen Cirque du Soleil – or should I say one of the current running acts. When we were in Vegas I really wanted to see one or two of their shows (I recall they had 5 shows running in Vegas), but it wasn’t possible with the toddlers. Luckily we live in an area where shows tour quite so frequently, so I took miss A. to see the Totem show.

For me it was love at first note when it came to the music to  this journey to the evolution of the mankind as it was that kind of mysterious, soothing music from around world. For Miss A. it was a bit boring from time to time, as there were sections with more humour and flirtatious scenes geared towards the more adult audience, but the acrobacy and action kept her excited too. The parking was a bit nightmare as it always tends to be, and the queues to the portaloos long, but the big positive surprise was the fact that the water was not sold in plastic bottles, but in branded metal ones – already washed, filled with water and cooling in the fridge. Of course the price tag was a bit higher too at $6, but it was perfect for us as Miss A’s water bottled had just broken…

Sadly cameras are never allowed in these events, so you don’t get to enjoy my amateur snaps this time, but rather these professional ones instead. And if you are planning to go it’s worth to sign up with the free Cirque du Soleil club, for we got our tickets half price (and these tickets tend to be rather pricey)…
