inspiring hardware store style kitchen
The inspiring room of the day comes from Brooklyn, NY. This kitchen/dining area of Kathleen Hackett and Stephen Antonson, the authors of the how-to book “Home From the Hardware Store,” have a different approach to decorating. They use flea market and yard sale finds and make lot of pieces themselves from hardware store goods – like a candelabra from plumbing parts.
Altogether a very fresh approach. Their dining table is very innovative – it is made of 2-by-2 boards and fitted with roller shades, which can be pulled down to turn it into a fort.
