inspirational hilltop views

Last weekend we intended going shopping, but by the time we made it to the mall the parking lots were full and all the kids were sleeping in the back of the car. As the weather was great, we decided to go for a little ride around and headed 10 minutes away to Felter loop road in the hills of San Jose.

We were just amazed. Rolling pastures, little lakes and ponds – even the snow-capped peaks of Mt Hamilton. And the impressive views from the top – the never-ending suburbia of San Jose and Silicon Valley and the marshlands of the Bay. Plus amazing haciendas scattered around on hilltops enjoying the views of the Bay, mountains as well as the lake.

That little ride really made our day. I just loved the colours of the spring, little flowers blooming for soon the mountains dry up and turn all brown.
