house tour of a former monastery in chianti
Now this is a place where the restoration has been a complete success. This former Benedictine monastery in Siena, the Chianti region of Italy just looks fantastic. Plush gardens with skillfully shaped topiary and amazing views of the valley. I just wonder if they have a few vines growing and a cave filled of own Chianti also (that correspond to my house dream of combining the beach location and own orchards and a vineyard…)
The interior is just so perfect too with high-sloping ceilings and whitewashed old beams, sun-filled rooms and a mix of more modern and classic furniture pieces in soft tones (and how cute was the iron chandelier in the dining room!). That gives a timeless feel and a truly relaxing atmosphere for the whole house. I am definitely feeling a lot of love towards this house – now officially classified as an Italian dream home!
