house of anaïs before and after – upstairs
When we bought the house of Anais it really was because of the lovely garden and the image we had on what the house could become – despite the purple-painted ceilings, silver chinese writings on the wall, mint-green and peach toilets, all the excessive colour contrasts, mismatch and dampish smell in the house…
But it certainly took us some time to get to the lovely end result! Here’s another room, or rooms from the house. The upstairs loft area had before two tiny bedrooms (one with sink) and this mint-green toilet corner.
We opened the space up into one spacious room, insulated it well and added a new bathroom with walk-in shower (but where are my other pictures??). I don’t normally go for carpets since we have asthma in the family, but here I chose natural seagrass covering for the whole bedroom.
The before images of upstairs – small landing, 2 small bedrooms and little mint green toilet (and easily burning foam tiles in the ceiling)
And the open space after-state – I used the very popular magnolia colour as the base for the whole house – very neutral and airy tone but not as sterile than pure white.
