happy halloween

It time to wish everyone Happy Halloween. Our family is still a novice one when it comes to this festival, and this year was supposed to be a great learning experience – I had bought cookie cutters, sprinkles, and all the supplies needed for making caramel apples for the class party. We had a pumpkin carving kit and even a mid-size pumpkin to try out. But unfortunately most of it did not happen on time, as I had to fly out of the country.

Thinking positively maybe we can make some post-Halloween cookies and apples the coming weekend when I return home instead. And at least the grandparents got to learn that great skill on pumpkin carving this year and participate in kids class parties. I did also have a change to do some decor with the kids before I left (goody bag crafting, spiders, webs, little lights and mini pumpkins) although sadly our glittery pumpkin outside got stolen the very next day…I will miss seeing my little twins trying their very first trick or treating, but hopefully I will see some pictures at least!

On the positive note I’ll learn to carve pumkins next year, I will still be able to use all the inspiring ideas I have collected all over the web next year – and I am very determined to host a nice dinner party the coming year with lots of DIY decor crafted with the kids.

I want to wish everyone else Happy Halloween and I hope that all the friends in the East coast will be able to enjoy the night too despite the snowstorms!

Cookie time

Looking forward to baking some post-Halloween sugar cookies this year…

Chocolates are ready for trick or treating

I hope our house gets plenty of visitors this year as the jars are filled with candy!
