gehry schnabel house on the market

I have featured before the amazing designs of Frank Gehry (Look, taste and wear Gehry), and now one of his few residential houses in on the market – the so-called Schnabel House (it was designed for US ambassador to Finland, Rockwell Schnabel, in 1989). The current owner, Tony-award winner Broadway producer Jon Platt is asking $13 M for the house.

Platt has modernised the house to include iPad controlled home system and convoluted mechanized skylight system to cool the interior spaces with minimal energy consumption with some input from Gehry.

All in all, this is a very Gehry looking house and a most unusual looking modern residence.
