feeling vintage = reclaimed spirits

My friends was talking about her favourite store so I decided to check it out too.  And yes, it is so inspirational and manages to to provide fabulous vintage items, some reclaimed and all so adorable.  And responsible consumption is good for your soul too. As the saying goes – one step at a time be it recycling or durable, timeless goods.

Here are some of my finds from My Sparrow. I especially adore the Summer Place Fret fabric by R. Schumacher and the patterned pillows. I can see a project forming here to spruce up my reading corner – the Cotsworld wicker chaise lounge below (which has served well for so many years and has yet more to give)

I could see my husband nodding approvingly if he got the Architect’s chair,  some distressed books or the Edison table lamp for Valentine’s or for some other special occassion. 

If we still lived in the deep countryside in that quintessential English country cottage or even better by the seaside, here would be my first picks for the house and the garden:

Thinking of friends – these burlap wine bags would be so appropriate, and I have a dear friend who just might get these Early Birds for her birthday..
