extreme furniture from val

VAL is a London-based design studio created in 2009 by Mexican interior and industrial designer Valentina Gonzalez Wohlers specialising in high-end furniture and accessories. She certainly has innovative and bold pieces, some of which reference to her Mexican heritage.

The ghost chair is a limited edition chair which can be customised in colour and comes with his and hers versions.  This sculptural free-from furniture is made of a single 4mm transparent polyester sheet and each piece is a unique creation.

This table was inspired by the aerial views of ancient Prehispanic temples and the configuration represent the main buildings, inner patios, gardens, bridges and surrounding canals of one of the building blocks of Tenochtitlan, today’s Mexico City.

Prickly Pair Chairs’ is a project born out of the creative experience of a Mexican designer in Europe, and they juxtapose Mexican and European aesthetic values
