drn in chile
dRN – del Río-Núñez Architects from Santiago, Chile have an impressive portfolio of modern buildings. In Quinteros region in Chile, by the Pacific Sea, they designed the Baronia house with an interesting u-shaped structure where the two sides of upper floor are linked via sea-facing decking structure. The structure is made of corten steel to battle the decay caused by severe weather conditions.
The interior is of bolted wooden frames, which offers flexibility in terms of room arrangement. The house was built in 2009 and totals 1600sq ft/150m2. What a location for this impressive house filled with light and space and humble simplicity.
