curious friday – random spottings
I went this week to San Francisco to the X.commerce conference and could not help spotting all sorts of cool and funky things on my way there and back. Like in any conference you always get some freebies and goodies to go – and I among all the stuff (kids loved the sunglasses and rubber bracelets and other little stuff) I found my top two favourite to be edible items! First is the cutest conference-themed cookie and then this perfect-sized tube of M&Ms to be taken as “emergency supplies” in the handbag!
The decor in the conference was pretty cool – lots of gaming areas and bean-bag areas for geeks to take a break in and code a little… This was an interesting event and my favourite presentation came from the Milo and Where guys – worth checking them out!
I had to visit the fabulous, bright and oh so funky Calligaris store on the way. This chair outside made sure that I could not miss the store on my way from the train station.
Is this graffiti-styled chair one of the funkiest ever? With embedded lights and actually a very comfy seating (read resting) position it is winner. The only negative side is the pretty high price tag of around 8K or so…
This was my first train ride in SF region and I loved spotting cute buildings on the way, and surprisingly in many places the train stations were really cute!
