cold weather calls for a soup and good friends

It’s June and California is freezing cold and even rainy. Not quite what I expected. Haven’t felt the normal urge to venture outside for my curious Friday finds, but thankfully as an alternative thing to do there’s always the option to visit a good friend.

And thank god I have a lovely friend who always has some great soup, such as this bacon and potato one – and the most delicious toast served hot with real butter. What can I say – not the healthiest choise, but I love the taste of real butter (and just try to use it in moderation).

Oh, and how cute is my friend’s table decor – the wood bowl with fishing floats and shells. She’s got lot a lovely seaside/county themed place and amazing DIY project skills – the total opposite to mine!
