What a lovely transformation has taken place in this country home made of stone! You can see the exposed-beam ceilings, stonewalls and many of original window sizes have been kept too meaning quirky little openings. Everything is so charming, yet modern, as the house has been skillfully renovated – and integrated more modern features with traditional ones.

The end result is a soft, pastel-coloured paradise with floaty fabrics, scattered pillows, luxurious throws and gentle greenery. The floorings are of a soft beige tone with natural fabric area rugs – no stark contrasts to be found here. Whereas most of the house is decorated with this casual country style, the bathroom makes the exception and is quirkier: here the designer has mixed a deep, modern soaking tub, rustic ladders and a glossy chandelier for that very fashionable and quirky combination. Country romance at its best!
