built-in display space

Built-in display shelving is a concept that I really like – I made my husband to build some of those in the old cottage we had and I will be wanting plenty of them in the future too. With lights and the background painted in different colour they are almost like a piece of art just themselves. Add some beautiful accessories and the whole room is transformed.

Also, the low-voltage led lights in these recessed units are normally energy-efficient and they provide great mood lighting. A win-win situation!

These cute display units in a bedroom are from the portfolio of Argentinian architect Juan Carlos Ricardes, whole beautiful house design in Florida I linked to a few days ago (link here). I have also spotted a great 9 unit display at the local Pottery Barn and will take a photo next time I am there. It just looks fantastic!
