australian high-end earth house

Australian Christopherchris Architecture has created this wonderful angular house surrounded by nature and boasting of impressive views. It was mainly constructed locally from cedar paneling and rammed earth – an ancient building method using raw materials of earth, lime, chalk and gravel.  The house uses a contrasting selection of materials, textures and colours and also features floor to ceiling windows allowing uninterrupted views of the valley and down to peninsula from the master bedroom.

There is some lovely paneling both on walls and parts of the ceiling, and the full height entrance is very inviting yet creates a sense of grandeur for the house.
